Notre Dame on a Roll

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish won their third game of the year today, beating Stanford 21-14. That gives the Irish two straight wins over noted academic schools with crappy football programs, after last week's victory against Duke.

Irish boosters will, no doubt, derive plenty of encouragement from the team's season-ending two-game winning streak. But that's only because they're delusional. The fact is that Notre Dame was lucky to beat Stanford, who missed four field goals. But you have to take your happies where you can get them I guess. So, congrats Notre Dame - you suck slightly less than Stanford and Duke.
